Water leak from back of the fridge

This is gonna be bad. I was looking at the back of the fridge because I was going to put one of those fridge fans in, and was looking for a power source. I noticed a small drop of water on one of the screws holding the fridge board on. I pulled the box and when you push on the fridge back, water pours out of the screw hole. I can't begin to imagine where it's coming from.

The fridge has been emptied and dried out for over a week plus, since our last trip.

What make refrigerator? Norcold, Dometic? When you shut it down was there a lot of ice in the freezer?

Norcold. As soon as I get home, it's unloaded, wiped down, I put a fan on it with both doors open for an hour or two, then wipe again. No heavy ice in the freezer.

Drain tube is clear, this stupid thing has only been run for 7 days since it was new.

The only thing I can think of while defrosting it water ran down back side of freezer between and insulation and gravity took over from there. The freezer does not have a drain whereas the inside of refrigerator does just below the fins. I used to put a towel inside freezer when defrosting to absorb water. Even if there's not an ice build up once shut down and doors open it will cause condensation.

Is the tube connected between the pan inside and the tube going to the outside. that's what it looks like to me.

For what little if any water was in the freezer, how is it holding that much in there for weeks? Although I don't see how it can be anything else. I wonder if it's kosher to caulk around the freezer pan? There is a lip that goes around the bottom where water could go under.

Tube is connected, and on the other side of the fridge.

Its a crap shoot! not sure I'd seal it. Could be a problem in the back (upper) you cant see, maybe a manufacturer flaw somewhere... being a Norcold its a possibility. May have to slide it out for a look. Pretty simple to do. Maybe use a mirror or snake cam and look if you have those options.

My dealer sent Norcold the video, they called back within the hour and said they were sending a new fridge out. It's been installed, and after 6 weeks we have our camper back.

That's too bad that you lost 6 weeks of the season
Glad you got your fridge replaced.

Especially when it's been the best weather of the year. We're going this week, time to make up for lost time.
