Storage Compartment Door Seal Help

Hey everyone,
We just purchased a (new to us) ‘06 Aerolite, and she needs some love. Starting from the outside-in, the first thing I’m replacing are the storage compartment door seals, which have been leaking.
The thing is, it’s evident that they’ve been messed with, and I would like to install what’s ‘supposed’ to be there.
So, my question: Were the original seals a stick-on to the flange, solid foam like these… or did they secure by fitting OVER the flange with a bubble seal between the flange and the door?

Suggest you check Trekwood and see if you can find the original part/seals on their website. I do not have your model RV so have no idea on your specific issue.

The Trekwood website is not the best to navigate through but if you are persistent you can usually find what you are looking for.

The seal you show in your picture looks like it was glued in originally. The door compresses the seal against the door frame, so glue is adequate.

The door latch may need adjustment if the door is not pressed against the seal.

New seals may be purchased at an automotive store. Different types are available. The application requires a seal that is compressed between the door and door frame.
