Our new TT has a slide, never had one before. Is it better to leave the slides in or out when not in use? I've seen it both ways. Thanks

I leave mine in (keeps the critters out). There is a space underneath one of my slides and we have this critter here called a DIRT DOBBER! they love to get into spaces like that. So I leave my slides in.

Thanks for the input. Just seems better to me if it's in,less stress on the cantilevered parts.
Just better in. Don't see an advantage to out. Protects seals, a little more rain weather protected, and depending on where you store, less chance of someone hitting you.

I posted this same question a while back and 99% of the comments were to store the slide in when in storage. Critters and water intrusion were the main issues.... I read later that my owners manual also said to store with slide in...
