Sealant For Around Sinks in Kodiak Ultra

Apparently, non-yellowing caulk/sealant is too expensive for Dutchmen to use in their rigs when they are constructing them so now the beads of sealant around the kitchen and bath sinks, as well as where the counters meet the walls, are yellowing. I am going to carefully dig them out and redo them and am wondering if Lexel clear sealant would be a good choice?

I have a tube of it on hand and would be fine with using it but wondering if any of you would recommend anything else? The Lexel is a bit on the shiny side but I can live with that. Just wondering if using a specific tub and tile caulk, maybe in white or even tan, would be a better choice?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dan

If you are going to use caulk, use GORILLA CAULK!

Does Gorilla caulk need to be painted or can it be used as a stand alone product?

It’s 100% sillycone. Nothing will probably stick to it.

They do make one that is paintable and this stuff also comes in white. In my experience with 100% silicone is that it’s a bit messy.

Use clear 100% silicone aquarium sealant.

Lexel

Love and use Lexel any where I would have used silicon. Shower stall, sinks, trim around the siding, etc. Dries clear not foggy. Just know that when it's cold, 50s or so, takes longer to set up.
