no caulking around tub

does any one know if there is suppose to be caulking around the tub where the wall liner meets the top of the tub ?wehave a 2012 areolite

I don't think that there is supposed to be caulking there. The two halves kind of overlap at that point, so no water should penetrate.
I'm with you though, it sure LOOKS like there should be caulking there!

Ours is the same way. I've been under the tub and there was no water evidence, so I think there must be a pretty large lip on the tub and behind the wall cover. I imagine it has to do something with shrinking and expansion as temperature changes. At least, that is my excuse not to worry about it. ;-)

Interesting thread as I was wondering about this as well. I asked when we bought it and the service tech said it was not supposed to have caulking there. Is it difficult to take the wall panels off to have a look? I see the white 'buttons' but am not sure what they are exactly.
