Aaron, our campers aren't that much different. Mine is next to the fresh water tank, under the dinette seat on the left/port/driver's side. It says "not a storage area," and is closed with a couple of screws. Easy access to both of those, and the hot water heater also. A lot of unused room in there, I've been thinking about putting some emergency items in there.

I have the bed in the front, pretty sure the water tank is in that area too. No screws that I can find. The front panel is stapled on. It is on my laundry list of stuff to get to this weekend when I get home from VA/PA/MD circuit.

We looked at a larger trailer this past weekend that was much better built and laid out...

I have had TT in the past that had the same set-up. I added some plywood to block it off so nothing would slide into the water pump,water tank or heater. I then used the left over area as storage. Never had one bit of problem & did that Mod on quite a few TT I've owned in the past.

Hi all.. need some advice.. going to winterize my Coleman for the first time this year. I opened up the 2 low point drains on the back the of camper. Nothing came out.. should I be doing something else also?

Hello Pete. There are lots of posts on this forum to help you winterize. Just opening up the low point drains is a lesson you will hardly ever forget since they do not drain the entire coach. I use air pressure to blow out all my lines (I have a tankless compressor - and don't forget the spray port-lesson learned). LCI has come out with a small compressor that mounts permanently to the coach to help with the blow out.


The other way is to fill the lines with RV Antifreeze. Which works great but is a real pain to flush out when you want to use the coach again.


There are LOTS of youtube videos on winterizing your coach. Don't be afraid of over using antifreeze in the tanks and P-traps.

When attempting to drain plumbing at the low point drains, be sure to open all faucets to allow air to enter the plumbing.

Don’t forget to drain the toilet valve & outdoor spray port! Here is a list I keep on my iPhone in Notes. Handy to just check things off so you don’t forget them.

If there is a pipe that carries water, it should have either antifreeze in it or be blown out with compressed air. Be careful about the compressor pressure when blowing out the lines. Drain the hot water heater through the drain plug located at the bottom of the hw heater (I put a shutoff valve on the heater with a flexible metal hose). Make sure all drains (p-traps) have anti freeze in them and as said before, the spray port if you have one. 9lesson learned the hard way).
