Kodiak 284BHSL Propone Hose

Hose for the bumper mounted grill is not long enough. Looks like problem is really the location of the propane connection. Is not at back corner of trailer. Any one else have this problem and how did the dealer/factory resolve? Factory has punted the problem to the dealer on my unit..

Hmmmm.... Ours does not have the bumper mounted grill. Do you have the slide out stove too? Maybe make a visit to your local propane store and see if they can lengthen the hose for you.

We do have the outside kitchen. Longer hose would be the quick/sloppy solution and poses a potential trip hazard running diagonal from the connection point to the grill. Looking around the dealer lot, some units have the propane connection at the rear corner and some had the connection about 5' forward of the corner. All had had a 4' hose supplied. Definitely an engineering/production problem at the factory. Factory rep basically shrugged it off and pushed it back to the dealer to fix. Dealer is doing the right thing and ordering the materials needed to relocate the propane connection to the rear corner.

Had the same problem on my 2012 cougar.. All it did was add more black pipe to get it to the back! Not a hard job and cost like $20.

Moving the quick connect is the right thing to do. Glad to hear that the dealer is helping out. Happy Grilling!

I noticed the same thing on my 276bhsl only if im trying to grill with the bbq at the rear of the trailer. (So that I me facing the tail lights.) But when I pull the pin on the base of the mount the grill swings to the side of the trailer ( so when grilling my right shoulder is next to the door side of the trailer.) and is perfect for the supply hose that came with the grill. There are actually two pivot point on the bbq mount.

Once the dealer dug into this is really a different problem. Turns out the quick disconnect on the side of the TT is for the outside kitchen (would think the dealer staff would have known that during the walk-thru). No propane connection point was provided for the bumper mounted grill - factory design problem! Factory has supposedly shipped a connection kit to the dealer; but didn't arrive before I headed north for the summer. Dealer provided a propane bottle and hose assembly that will at least let us use the grill till I return to FL in the fall.

Good the here G -dad. For what it's worth after I used my bbq a few times I realized that it was not as great as I first thought it was. I've moved on to the Weber Q 2000. It takes up less room when storing and is way better at grilling, they also have a griddle accessory that is awsome.
Happy camping
