Fresh Water Tank Drain Access Problem

Kodiak 200QB when it is time to drain the fresh water tank I have to scootch myself on my back way under the trailer to reach the drain and unscrew it. My old camper had a ball valve located within a hands length under the trailer. Has anyone modified theirs by extending the pipe closer out and installing a ball valve and if so-details please? Thank you in advance.

Haven't done it, but it would be fairly easy. They make a threaded on one side pvc elbow, jut screw that on where the cap is now, glue on a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe the length you want and glue a pvc ball valve on that. The hardest part would probably be finding a way to strap the pipe the the RV frame, Dutchman uses a lot of self drilling screws on the frame to attach things.

I just went to the big box store and got a faucet hose with a ball valve and strapped it to the skid bars at the back, someday I will put in some Pex tubing, since the faucet tube is 5/16 inch diameter, but it has worked for two years,,
