Fender Skirt Replacement for 2017 Kodiak UL

The fender skirt (wheel well cover) on my 2017 Kodiak Ultra lite is a pretty flimsy affair and because of that it is hard to get a caulk to stay affixed to the gap between the plastic of the skirt and the body of the trailer. In some places, the fender skirt is puckered outward creating a pretty big gap that is even harder to keep sealed.

Anyone replaced their fender well covers with another brand and found they were actually a better quality material and a decent fit?

I wonder if some sort of 'backer' would help? Maybe some thin aluminum inside the quarter panel with the fender skirts screwed to the backer. I had to beef up my long slide because the blind installers didn't bring their tape to work that day and the framing for the quarter panel was 3/4" short.

I had the same problem with my 2018 Kodiak Ultra Lite QB 201. I looked for a good after market replacement but could not find one. I ended up using black silicone caulking to fill the gaps and cracks. I also attached the bottom of the pieces with screws to give them more stability
