Aux fuel tank

I'm considering purchasing a auxiliary fuel tank to put in the bed of my F250 diesel. Does anyone have one they especially love? Would you recommend a tank that automatically transfers fuel into the trucks factory fuel tank or should I get something with a pump that I have to manually transfer?
I thought about a manual transfer because it may be easier to take out when not in use. Does anyone actually do this? I don't have any other pieces of equipment that would ever need to be filled with diesel so the auto feed has merit as well, but would be harder to remove.
I'd plan to only get another 30+ gallons since my bladder can only last for so long anyway.
I really appreciate any comments anyone can provide.

I have a 91 gallon RDS tank and I use a gravity feed transfer setup that works great - RDS Diesel Install Kit for Auxiliary Diesel Fuel Tank — Fits 1999–Current Ford, 2011–Current Chevrolet and GMC, and Dodge 1999–2012, Model# 011025 | Fuel Tank Accessories| Northern Tool + Equipment

I am going to install a pump over the winter though to be able to fill my tractor and stuff with it. Having to stop often or not, I would say get the biggest you think you can install simply because when you find a great deal on fuel...also I do not remove mine at all.

We have the 60 gallon RDS tank model 71212 with the gravity feed kit. What I like is not having to stop two times a day to fuel up. I can drive an entire day without touching the main tank. The next morning I can then start to look for fuel and be picky about pricing. We still stop for rest breaks but not to fuel up.

I had one incident with the tank feed though. I don’t know why but the float valve didn’t seal off and it leaked fuel onto our driveway which left a small hole. It worked flawlessly for over a year and didn’t appear to have failed completely, but I installed a continuous duty solenoid valve in line anyway. The solenoid is powered through a lighted rocker switch that is fed by a keyed power source. Closes when the truck is not running and I can turn it off when driving if I want.

I don't have the truck anymore...

I had a 1996 F350 CC, DRW, PSD. I put on larger tanks in the stock locations and had a Transfer Flow 82 gallon in bed tank. All up I was hauling over 185 gallons of fuel. Learned my lesson after Hurricane Katrina and fuel was hard to get near ground zero. I made sure that I would have enough fuel to haul me home from anywhere in the country my company was likely to send me.

My in bed tank was set up to either feed into the fuel system or be used as a transfer tank.

I have a 98 gallon TransferFlow in the bed. It auto transfers when I get a half tank...up to 3/4 tank. I find I very rarely fill factory anymore, just fill the tank.

I ended getting the biggest they had, only because my CCC allowed for it, with the trailer pin weight. It's nice, as we do not fuel the truck during the day, always top off in the evening after we unhook...unless I see a killer price.

I've got the 91 gal. RDS tank/toolbox combo with the gravity feed. My towing range is over 1,000 miles.

I should have mentioned range....same as above, I can push it to 1300-1400 miles per tank, but never do. We never travel over 500/day, I like the fact that I cut down on getting through busy truck stops with a dually and a nearly 45ft trailer.

I had a 70 gallon Transfer Flow in my 2003 F-350. Moved it to my 2005 F-350. Gave me a 1000 miles range before needing fuel. It was automatic once fuel gauge showed 1/4 tank it turned on. Shut off at just over 3/4 tank. My son & I installed it in both trucks.
Now I just use the front tank on my Voltage for a extra 30 gallons of fuel.
