30 amp fuse blowing

I have a 2012 kodiak Dutchman 200qb and this
Past weekend we went to a rv park. My wife was
Blow drying her hair (yes we were camping) and the
30 amp fuse on the parks pole blew . Now at the time
We had her hair dryer going, the electric water heater was
On, ac on and the tv was on. Was this too much to have on
At the same time? I'm wondering if I have a problem
Somewhere in my trailer that needs attention or is it
Simply the rv park power. Thanks in advance for any help
Here.

Sounds like you were trying to draw more than 30amps: AC high draw, water heater next, hair dryer, least draw TV. park breaker might/was weak and first to trip.

could be park voltage is a little low which causes higher amp draw. Next time turn off the hot water heater.. you should be good to go until she is finished with drying her hair.

Do you have an "EMS" device either hard wired or "at the pedestal".? i would not be caught camping without one. progressive industries makes a hard wired unit as well as a portable unit. they come in a 30 amp version as well as a 50 amp version. it protects againest voltage surage or spikes, voltage line drop as well as protects againest 220 wired devices and miswired devices. it will also give a read out of current voltage and amp draw. well worth the money!

Electric Management System??? I think he is talking about a surge protector. We have one and use it whenever we camp with electric (maybe 3 times a year)....I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Going back to your initial question, you can usually assume that any device that heats (like a hair dryer, a portable heater, a toaster, etc) will draw close to 15 amps by itself. An A/C unit also draws 15 amps. So, when you consider that your converter (which supplies the 12-volt power in your rig) can also draw close to 15 amps and could be on at any time, you don't have much more capacity left over in your 30-amp total if you have any of those high-draw devices in operation.
