Snowbird help .. Florida RV Site

G'day .. we just purchased a Voltage v3200 and are ready to leave the snow behind for a month and head to Florida. Was wondering if anyone could provide us with a good RV site ( medium price range ) in southern Florida. Would like WiFi to keep in touch with grand kids and heated pool to exercise the knees.

Tks in advance ...

First year snowbirding it Florida myself this year. However my mother has been going to John Prince County Campground in Lantana Florida, which is right next to West Palm Beach. Around $800 a month. Has laundry and wifi, but no pool. Fills up fast. You can make reservations as soon as 90 days out. A much nicer, but quite a bit more expensive park about 15 miles further south is Vacation Inn. Has heated pools, a water park right outside the gate, shuffleboard, tennis, etc. It's private and runs around $1500 a month last time a checked. Could be more. More adult oriented but still kid friendly. It's in Riviera Beach, which is kind of an iffy neighborhood, but the park is gated with security and is perhaps one of the nicest parks we've ever been to. All sites nicely landscaped and privately owned, but sublet when not in use. Hope it helps.
Rusty
PS. I'd be interested in additional sites in Florida myself, especially on the Keys.

Rusty .. your $800.00 one sound good except for no pool ( what a shame ) .. will keep you posted if anyone else shares some information. The keys are great but I would expect they would be in the high end of my budget ..

Cheers

Sorry I can't help. If you ever decide to come down here by Palm Springs Ca. I know quite a few Snowbird spots.

DesertRat .. I guess you don't have to worry about getting out of the cold & snow .. you just go from shorts to long pants for the winter. LOL

You are so right. We can tell who the Snowbirds are here in the winter. They are in shorts when its 50 outside & have no tan.

I know you asked for southern FL, and this place is just north of Tampa, close to Weeki Wachee. We stayed there in March, and loved it. Great people, internet, nice pool, etc. 10 miles from a good-sized city, but in a rural environment. We're not snowbirds, but look forward to returning. It's nice, homey, economical, and welcoming. Not too modern, however. Big Oaks RV & Mobile Home Community

I will have to ask my bride, but there is a very reasonable and nice one just south of Orlando too. I want to say Indian something or another.
