Pismo Coast Village-Pismo Beach, CA

We will be going to Pismo Coast Village in Pismo Beach, CA for our anniversary. Has anyone been there? This is our first trip to Pismo and we weren't sure where to stay. We considered the KOA because we have children, but the reviews were terrible! Also, if you've been to the area, any restaurant recommendations? We'd like to go out one night. The catch is we'll have 2 kids with us. Thank you!

Pismo is GREAT FUN

We have never camped in Pismo, but we have stayed at Sea Crest Resort with 2 kids. We love Pismo. There are a few good restaurants in Pismo (Splash and Mo’s Smoke house). Splash is always crowded so we have never been. I say take 15 minutes and go into San Luis Obispo and there are a plethora of restaurants. It’s a college town so there is a lot of very casual dining. Try Firestone Grill if it’s not too crowded. If you want Italian food on your anniversary dinner try Mama’s Meatball in SLO ( we have taken our kids and the food is great.). I also recommend outings to Morro Bay, Avila Beach, and Avila Valley Barn (kids will like that). Have a great trip!

The Monarch Grove was pretty awesome! The clusters of "brown leaves" are actually clusters of Monarch Butterflies!
It was a really great trip! We'll be back!
