Voltage 3970 Full Timers
Bought our Voltage 3970 in Sept 2015 and just went full time. Have had many issues leading up to now. Refrigerator cooling unit went out. Had to take unit in for repair and was there almost 4 months total. Next the backup camera we purchased was installed, however the manufacturer did not send the receiver for it. Had to ask the dealer to go back and get this for us. Then they did not know how to set it up. Have to call Garmin direct. Have had recalls already for the ladder and for the center rafters/ air cond unit in Living Room completed. Now, finally full time and the LMS panel lights are out. We can tell we are hooked to 50 Amp at pedestal, but unsure how many Amps being used. Tried to use microwave while all 3 a/c's on and tripped breaker. Oh and wonderful how in these units, there is no where to put the directv receiver. The wiring is all screwed up and if you want it out of your way you have to start drilling holes everywhere. I guess welcome to RV lifestyle. Anyone have any suggestions?

I wouldn't let my trailer sit at the dealer for four months. When I had slide issues I told them to call me when the parts came in and then I'll bring my trailer back. My receiver is down in the storage bay because the cabinets next to the TV aren't deep enough. If it was me full-timing I'd dump the Voltage and get a diesel pusher - they have room for all this stuff and a lot of it is already installed.

My DirecTV receiver sits nicely above my kitchen cabinets over the stove.
As for your LMS panel, it's my understanding that the only time it displays amp load is when operating on generator power.
As for your microwave + 3ACs tripping the breaker, that sounds correct. Each of your ACs draw either 18 or 16 amps (depending on 15,000 btu or 13,500 btu)... so that's already around 47 of your available 50 amps. And your microwave is the biggest amp hog of all... so yeah, that's gonna trip the breaker.

Depending on how the campground has the pedestal wired...some pedestals have a shared hot and yes, will blow at 50 amps. However, a double breaker pedestal with two hot wires, a neutral, and a ground is 100 amps....50 amps each leg.
Another power hog, relatively speaking, is the fridge on electric vice propane...it pulls about 7 amps. When we are on a 30 amp pedestal, that is almost a quarter of your available power.

I have spoke to the folks that design and produce the LMS - Precision Circuits. The system goes to "sleep" when connected to 50 amp service. You will only see the 50 amp light on. I posted a copy of the wiring diagram with notes in another thread about power problems. On my tablet now so a little difficult to find it for you. Further, the LMS has mothing to do with your microwave as it only controls and shed loads for the AC units and water heater. Hope this helps.
