Re: newbie here

Sammie,
Welcome! I need a little more info. When you pull out and up on the front edge of the jackknife sofa, does the back stay at basically 90 degrees to the seat?

We have 2010 Dutchmen Lite 25C-GS and it has a jackknife love seat that comes out by and up and out pull, but the back is plumped up enough that it never really lays entirely flat. Probably a nice bed for a child on the seat cushions, but it is a love seat and would be short for one adult. Two children could sleep on the seat and back, but by morning I bet one would be on the floor. The dog likes it just fine. ;-)

So if you lift up under the front and pull forward it slides out, but the back against the wall won't fold down flat. Do I follow you? Sometimes ours is stubborn like that, but a firm push down on the back usually gets the back to lay down all the way. And sometimes I have to push it down on the front & back at the same time.

Did you look underneath to see if it could be hitting anything that's stopping it?

Sammie - do you understand our questions or did you figure it out? MIght need some lubrication in the pivot axis on each side.

Welcome to the forum sammie. I hope you manage to sort the sofa bed out. I haven't even tried to open ours up yet...
