New Trailblazer

Hi guys. We bought our first RV, a 2004 Komfort Trailblazer T27FBS Fifth Wheel. We found ourselves as the only ones in the family without our own RV and went for it. It was too much of a steal to pass up, so we didn't.

We're not full timers, and we're still learning the ins and outs of our specific parts, and repairing what we need to as we find it (was sold on consignment and we paid cash, so no inspection other than LP), but luckily with a family full of RVers we have a lot of it covered. The gas is taking some getting used to though as I've used nothing but electric my entire life.

Hubby's an O/O so the tow vehicle was an easy choice.

It's been hooked up on our family's property and our first real trip with it is in August. Can't wait.

Welcome to the forum.

After you have used gas for awhile you'll want to convert at home.

We've had gas ranges for the better part of our lives and my better half will have nothing but now.

The one thing you will notice is that adjusting temperatures is much quicker than with electricity.

Thanks guys.

I do like the instant temp adjust, and that when I turn it off.. it's off. No hot stove left behind to burn myself on. lol

I need to see what's up with the sparker knob (it either does nothing or I'm doing it wrong, so I've been using one of those long bbq lighters), and take pics of my flames to make sure the burners are burning right.

As for the oven.. haven't touched it yet, and don't even know how to light it. lol

There are a couple of different types of igniters out there, they can go bad. They can also get the gap out of adjustment, if they get bumped. I don't think that you would have problems with all of them being out of adjustment at the same time.

The igniters are a fairly inexpensive item and not difficult to replace.

The ovens don't have an igniter, they have a pilot light. You will have to get down there and look for it for the first few times you light it, after a few times you'll know where it is and be able to light it without looking.

That truck wouldn't even know it's towing anything!

hddecker: Thanks! I'll have Kris pop the top to get the model number when we're out there tomorrow so I can get all the complete info about my model to find the right parts.

DesertRat: It doesn't, it really doesn't. It just kind of laughs at it like, "that's all ya got?!".
