At minimum I use sway control, especially on something as light and high sided as a travel trailer.
We typically tow with a 2003 F-150 4.6L Super Cab with factory tow package. I am currently using an Eazy-Lift with 550# bars and sway control. With my 1996 F350 Crew Cab, PSD I only use the sway control.
I have an Equalizer Hitch for my 31' Airstream that we also tow with the F150. I have towed the AS on the bumper of my F350.
I am actually beginning to like my Eazylift better than the Equalizer. I can use it for both trailers just by swapping out the lift bars. With the Equalizer I have to have a different hitch for each trailer.
I like the Equalizer and the way it performs with the Airstream, I have had zero problems with it once it was set up correctly, and that WASN'T done by the dealer. Ditto the EazyLift.
