New to RV'ing, new to site

Just got delivery of our 2013 Dutchman Komfort 3650FFL in Gainesville, VA. it was -12 when it was delivered so everything was frozen; even the roads. We finally got the unit in place (will have to be moved and adjusted again) but the park sent back our heated water line. Wife and I are empty nester's in the DC area for a year or so and then going to Kentucky (we work in commercial construction). Downsizing from a 3000 sqft home to our 40' RV.

Had a great BBQ chicken dinner with a glass of wine and a cold beer (remember its -12 outside with the windchill).

Really looking forward to tips and assistance. Thank you and hello from John and Wendy.

I had a couple of projects down the road from you in Warrenton, VA a few years back. Closest one right now would be BWI.

Congratulations and STAY WARM!

-12 would be a heat wave up here. Getting tired of the -25 to -30 wind chills this past week...

Thursday of last week we were at -22F WITHOUT wind chill factored in!!!! At least we are at our norm = 0 to 15F - we are going to have a heat wave next week at 20-25F - going to enjoy that weather!

I own 2013 Dutchman Komfort and wondering if I'm the only one who wants to replace the couches but I don't know where to get new ones to fit over the 1 foot high slides. So uncomfortable in my opinion.

California boy here doesn't know negative degrees.. My usually explanatory Dad was from Des Moines, and when I asked him once if we could move somewhere it snows, he just said 'no'! ..So afraid I can't help! Now if you want to know the rules for 115 degrees, I have some experience that way!

You might consider having them redone by an upholstery shop. Better quality foam padding and fabric or leather would probably be cheaper and more comfortable than buying new ones.

Dont do negative anymore. Did when I lived in Wisconsin, Chicago, and Indiana. Heck with that. Moved my happy ass to AZ. Love the winters out here...Mid 70's, wearing shorts and flip flops for Christmas. Summers are a little hot, but well worth it. My job, its easy to move around the country, Airline!!
