New To R/V's in General

Hello all.

Just picked up a 1995 Dutchmen 30FK for free from a campsite where it had sat abandoned. It is in remarkably good condition for having sat unoccoupied for so long.
The only thing it needs are:
(2) Removable access panels on the left side of the body (for accessing under the sink and stuff)
(1) Bead/moulding that connects the rear left side body panel and rear body panel is missing.
(4) marker light lens covers)
(1) Heating/cooling fan in ceiling (just the plug in fan)
AND a real good cleaning

There is of course a little water damage to the corner there but looks to be easily fixed.

If anyone knows of a source for that bead/moulding/whatever it's called and access panels, that would be helpful. We can scrounge small parts later.

I look forward to learning more about how these things work.

Now that's what I call a GOOD price.

Do a search for RV Salvage yards, you should be able to find the access panels your are looking for. Also ebay usually has some listed.

The moulding might be a little harder to find for a camper 20 years old. Try searching for obsolete parts, there are a couple of sites (can't recall the names) that specialize in obsolete stuff. You might want to try the big box hardware or auto parts stores for something that will work for you.

Lenses for your marker lamps should be available in auto parts stores much less expensive than the RV dealers.

Good luck with your project.

Ok, after a little more research, it is a 1992 Dutchmen 30FK.

The model number of the RV is 57915.303.

The furnace was an Excalibur 8500-II by Hydro Flame. (Which is gone)
The hot water heater appears to be gone also (probably why those two panels are missing)

The air conditioner is a Duo-therm Brisk Air, wired for and I believe has electric heat.
The range/stove is a Wedgewood by Atwood
The refrigerator and freezer are Norcold
The microwave is a Magic Chef M40-6
It has a series 6300-A power center (guessing the 6325 or 6332 as the plug is a 30A plug)
It has an LS1600 Linear Series stereo receiver
