Just retired ! First up is camping. Just bought a 2000 Dutchmen voyager 1004D. I know absolutely nothing about pop ups but I bought it for ease of towing. If anyone has any tips or insight that would help, I'd appreciate it greatly. I have a 2013 Silverado 4x4 tow vehicle. Tips on set up is mostly what I need as well as towing and maintenance. Also any frequent camping clubs for discounts and choice camp grounds.
I may be overwhelmed a little thinking about it! What do I need to pack, etc.

I highly recommend retirement, it's the best job I've ever had. ��

My pop up days are a distant memory, they predate the crank up lids and built-in appliances.
It was more like a tent on a trailer, than a fold down camper.

You have plenty of tow vehicle for a pop up, the first thing to do, is identify where all the stuff you need and use most will go. Then add the like to have stuff.

I have a Good Sam membership, it's good for a 10% discount at participating campgrounds and a discount at Camping World. I rarely use it now days, as we are more into boondocking than the campground camping. We just pick a direction other than west, to point the truck and go.

Welcome to the forums! I sold my popup about 7 years ago... miss some aspects of it.

Welcome from another Newbie. We just sold our Flagstaff 425D Pop-Up and moved up to a TT.
With Pop-Ups, just make sure you take your time and watch how it sets up and tears down. Do it a few times at home and get yourself in sync with the pop-up. Measure your storage ares and find totes that will fit in the storage areas. You'll be having fun in no time!

Thanks for the Welcome! I'll be practicing popping it. Doesn't have a/c, can it be added easily. I see it only has a 4 prong plug. Does that limit much?

If you have the 4 prong you are wired for a 30 amp RV circuit, which will carry the air conditioner. The unit may be pre-wired for A/C in the center vent. Or it may be like our Coleman where there was a cord that ran down to a dedicated plug. Check the breaker panel and see if there is a 20 amp breaker labeled for Air Conditioner.

Welcome to the forum Jim! I retired from my job of 35 years at Boeing and 28 years of the military and it have been great, well I'm not completely retired because I pastor a awesome church here but life is great. This is ours first rv and we are now doing ours first camping and love it.
