Red face New Clueless Proud Owner of a 2006 Aerolite 27RBSL

Hello everyone! I just purchased a used 2006 Aerolite 27rbsl. I am totally new to the whole trailer experience. I am hoping I can find some helpful tips, advice and information as I start to familiarize myself with my new toy. Currently replacing the floor as it was punky. When that is finished, I will learn how to hook up the water, drain the tanks, learn which tanks are what and hopefully not destroy anything. Thank you in advance for all your kindness and welcoming arms!

Welcome aboard! You're on the best site for problem solving. There are a couple of guys on line here that I wish would have built my unit! They know everything. However, for the basics, go to YouTube and look up RV Education 101. Many basics listed there. However, when you get stuck, get back here ASAP. Have fun.

Welcome to the campfire, the adult beverages are in the cooler.
That being said, as a group there is likely a century or more of experience here. Chances are that someone here has had a similar if not the same problem and will remember how they fixed it. Others here will use their knowledge to create a solution.
Just remember that it is easier to troubleshoot remotely when the description of the problem is accurate and detailed.

Welcome! As stated lots of info here and lots of help to be had. One thing though... make sure you know how to post pictures! They go a long ways towards helping us figure some things out.

A great 2 part write up on the 12 volt electrical system on your camper.
The 12 Volt Side of Life
The 12volt Side of Life (Part 1)

If you plan on using your camper without electrical or water hookups, as in off-grid, this is often referred to as "boondocking" or "dry camping". Here's a link with helpful tips.
RV Boondocking - Tips for Living Off the Grid in an RV

If you plan on using campgrounds with utility hookups, then you won't need to get deep into the weeds with those previous links. But they are still important knowledge on how your camper is set up to operate.

You make no mention of your tow vehicle (TV). That can be a can of worms, be prepared for feedback you may or may not want to hear depending on your set up.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome! Floor is almost finished and then on to the good stuff! I will be sure to post pictures when/ if I have questions. Oh and my TV is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Longhorn. Thanks again and wish me luck! I will get the hang of this Forum and the acronyms/ signatures eventually.
