New 2021 Dutchmen Kodiak 283BHSL owner

Hi all - We just traded in our 2015 Wilderness on a new 2021 Kodiak 283BHSL and taking on our first trip this weekend to Buescher State Park TX. Was wondering if anyone knows the power up mode for the Wineguard antenna installed. It has two switched on the outlet, not sure what each do, any advise would be great.

Thanks

Wineguard makes hundreds of models of antennae. What is the model number of yours?

Search for "Wineguard ...model..." for operating instructions.

One switch turns the TV antenna amplifier on and the other turns on the Winegard "Connect 2" wifi booster and 4G LTE antenna on. The Connect 2 is prewired but not installed by Dutchmen, its an aftermarket accessory. Look closely at the TV connection plate, may need a flashlight shined at an angle, the two buttons are labeled; one will say TV, usually on the left, and the other WiFi. I printed labels and stuck them on the plate so they are easier to identify. I also installed the Connect 2 to be able to stream movies and make phone calls over the internet when a weak signal is present, very satisfied with the connect 2. If you decide to install the connect 2 there will be a plate on the roof of your trailer, mine was about a foot way from the Wingard TV antenna. The plate will be sealed and you will want to ask this forum for help in removing the dicor sealant around it; it's not easy and you can easily damage the roof membrane if not done correctly.

Happy trails and enjoy the new trailer. After your visit to Buescher State Park TX post a comment/review on campendium.com if you are not familiar with campendium, great place to find info on parks and boondocking sites.
