Just ordered a Voltage 3605

Hello everyone.

My wife and I have been researching a 5th wheel for some time now and ordered a 2014 Voltage 3605 today.
Our plans are to sell our stick built and go into the full timing arena this year.

Looking forward to reading about your experiences and joining in on the fun.

Alan

Hello asdryheat.

I see you are in Tucson. What a great place. NW Phoenix is my home, but due to employment issues, I am stuck in the mid-atlantic region for awhile. Can't wait to get back home with the new 3605.

We wanted the 3605 but couldn't find one to look at. Got the 3600 instead. Let us know what you think of your 3605.

Hello Folks.

It took two years, but my wife and I have finally been able to purchase a new Voltage 3970. Though we had a very bad dealer experience on the east coast that forced me to cancel my order for the 2014 V3605, we located and purchased the 5'r that will meet our needs for years to come. I have read all the postings on the 3970 and while I am sure I will be bit by some of the bugs mentioned here, I am a very savvy mechanically minded person, and being that our unit does not have those confounded Schwintech slide system installed, I think I might be one half of one step ahead of others. I think I have even missed the bullet on the roof rafter problems, but need to gain a better understanding of manufacture dates that were affected by the poor builds. So far I cannot detect any sagging in my roof, but any ideas or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Alan, since you are mechanically savvy, you will do well, sorry for the bad dealer, I do most of my repairs also, but some of the big stuff, you got to find a good dealer, to fight for you when you have trouble with something you can't repair... My unit is around a year and half old, and haven't had big trouble, I did replace the water pump, molding on the outside, and adjusted some drawers, and one leaking jack, but not bad for over 10K miles of travel enjoy your new Voltage, and happy camping

Welcome. I'm sure your homework has paid off. We fulltimed for a year and that was the best year of our life. Good luck and report back on your travels.

Well, just got off the phone with Keystone/Dutchmen and my unit is affected by the roof rafter issue. I will contact the dealer this morning and get some action started. We weren't scheduled for delivery until the week of May 23, so it might be delayed. No worries, we have a contract on the sale of our house and are scheduled to close right around that time. I will keep everyone posted on our status as time goes on.
