The trailer had been a trade in by an elderly couple that wanted something larger. It looks brand new; we know it was little used, having less than 140 miles and only 2 trips on it. Everything seems to work okay, but a real shake down run or two will tell the story. We are planning a couple trips early next month (waiting on the wife's Dr. visit first). One of our Granddaughters is coming to visit and we thought that would give it a good test or two.

We put a Memory Foam mattress in then added a two inch topper (memory foam). Sleeps nicely now. Lots of folks here have changed out the mattress for something more conducive to comfort. Forget about drawings, there are none. The company says they are a trade secret.

The real secret is there aren't any! Or maybe they put them in a "secret location" and can't remember where that is.

Hi Frank,
I'm guessing the mattress will move to the top of the list quickly! I purchased a nice mattress for the spare room at home (used by a couple years ago from Menards and it is good sleeping and was quite reasonable... we'll probably look there or one of the other mattress places near hear.

Let's face it, there are only so many ways to plumb and run wiring (TV, Cable, Satellite, 12 vdc, 120 vac, etc.) in a trailer: I'm guessing that the "Trade Secret" is really to push folks to their service centers rather than let us do the work ourselves!

With my Boss now being in a wheel chair, I need to replace her flagging job with a couple of computers, the back-up cam and leveling help with the LeveMate Pro.

These two pieces of electrical ingenuity will save me tons of hair pulling due to now being able to see behind when driving as well as backing up AND being able to see the actual out-of-level condition of the TT... I can't wait to try out the LevelMate!!!

And get it wrong half the time.
I have better odds than that. And I rarely over charge my self.

I agree there and also the salespersons are just that... SALES and I don't think they have any idea about many trailers they are selling or they are just pushing a sales! The salesman that showed us the Coleman we bought told us several times the Frig ran on 120 vac, 12 vdc, and LP gas... I didn't see anything on the door that said 12 vdc, but he assured me it was... I figured he was full of BS and read the manual... it says Manual/Auto 120 vac/Lp Gas.

I'm not new to trailers or camping and after the salesman's comments, I became very distrusting of anything I was told. So, all I can say to others is do as much homework as you can and learn about your rig, it's appliances, mechanics, electrical items like converters & inverters (Big Difference here) or the trailer you are contemplating purchasing. Remember, get it in writing and if the salesperson will not put in writing, it's probably BS

Any fridge that runs on LP probably will NOT run on 12V or they are very small. They have some that "RUN OFF OF 12 VOLT" because they are running off of your inverter - if you have one - but they are not directly connected to the 12v system. NOW, In the 80's, there were some made that ran off of 12v but they just kept things COOL!

However the salesman didn't really lie... it does take 12 volt to keep the control circuit active!

Exactly, that's why I went to the manual... NorCold and they make "Residential" Frigs that have their own inverter. Run time however, according to the manual, is only a few hours on a typical battery.

I had an under counter refrig that ran on 12/120/prop. I quit using the 12 v option soon after getting it about 10 years ago. Running it on 12 v set to high would kill a 31 grp battery on the 4 hour drive to the campground. That was even with charging from the tow vehicle.

I don't miss the 12 v option in my new TT.

Same here; I run with LP on or off, depending on weather and what's in the Frig. I've put a block of ice in the bottom of the frig and freezer if I'm worried or turn on the LP.
