Re: Introducing ourselves

Hi all

I found a reference to this board on another RV board I use, glad to have a little club just for us Dutchmen owners! We live in Leadville, Colorado. Lots of good camping close to home, but a much shorter camping season than most. I look forward to hearing from the group.

Re: Introducing ourselves

Hey,

Found this website via an answer to my question about a Dutchman Owner's Group on RV.Net... ;-hap

We picked up our 2012 Kodiak 284BHSL in September after being a KZ owner for 8 years. So far so good, but had to take the Kodiak in for some end-of-season warranty work. The dealer was great to work with, but Dutchmen did send a wrong part so it goes back in April. And the LCI power tongue jack crapped out already when unhitching the trailer for winter storage.... glad that's under warranty yet!

Re: Introducing ourselves

Jason Shrout and family here. Hello, All!
We are currently in the research phase, but will definitely be in a 5th Toy Hauler withing the next 3-4 months. Hopefully there are owners of the 3950 models here who might be willing to share the good and bad? As it turns out, I hadn't really considered the Voltage until my family and I had the opportunity to tour one at the San Antonio RV Show yesterday. Aside from a few problems in craftsmanship, we completely love it (not the price, new, of course).

See you in the forums!

Re: Introducing ourselves

Hi Jason,

Welcome to the group.

I have a friend with a Voltage. A V3200, if I'm not mistaken. Nice TH inside and out. He's been experiencing a small problem with the Norcold Fridge. There's a relay that keeps going out. It can be bypassed; and that's how he's running it now. I think the dealer hasn't found the root cause. Friend said he'll be taking it to another dealer to see if they can pin-point the problem. Other than that, he and his family love it.

Re: Introducing ourselves

We just took delivery of our 2012 Aerolite 212RBSL SE and we love it. We could also be the token Canadians as I haven't seen any others introduce themselves.

Anyway, we traded in our Palmino SD195 last fall and I dropped into the dealer last week to see if it had arrived and low and behold this SE was just dropped off, so a quick negotiation and we bought it.

Thanks for starting this forum, looking forward to comparing notes with fellow owners.

Cheers

Re: Introducing ourselves

Gordon & Patti here.

We've had our Dutchmen Komfort since June of last year. Managed to spend quite a bit of time in it last year and ready to get at it this year. Maybe in March.

Really glad to see this forum. Previous to our Komfort, we owned a Heartland RV. Heartland has a great owners forum/club and we have missed that since getting our Dutchmen. Hope it takes off.

Re: Introducing ourselves

Long-time rv'er here but new to this forum.

We just ordered a 2012 Kodiak 200QB. This will be our 5th trailer.

Found this forum via Google and hope it grows into a useful resource for Dutchmen-brand owners.

Re: Introducing ourselves

After a long search for the 'right' TT we finally have ordered an Aerolite 212RBSL.

Looking forward to getting back to camping since we lost our much loved Jayco PUP to a storm a few years ago.
Also will be very different from the PUP days with kids. Now just us, dog and occasional grandkid.

Re: Introducing ourselves

We purchased a Four Winds 18B new in 2005, and the first trip we took it on was 3,300 from San Diego to Washington DC and back, 8,000 miles on the total trip. We spent 33 days crossing the country with our kids. It wasn't our first trailer so it wasn't as if we were brand new to towing. We still have the trailer and the only issues we have had were ones that I inflicted. Love the trailer, but the kids are not camping with us as much anymore as they are getting in to their lives, so we are looking at selling it and changing floor plans. The bunks don't work for us anymore and the wife wants an island bed and bigger bathroom. So we are looking for a new one as I type this. I hope I can find one in the same manufacture that meets our needs.

Re: Introducing ourselves

Hey all!
We have a new TT waiting for us to be picked up in May, can't wait!! We previously had a Starcraft tent trailer, enjoyed it but time for an upgrade. My wife and I always enjoyed camping right from the start with a tent. Had many years like this until we had a baby and then camping went to the wayside. When camping came back in our lives we started with the tent trailer and thus the journey began to now! Cheers to all!

Re: Introducing ourselves

Recently upgraded to a 2012 Dutchmen Classic 276 RBS. Towing with 2004 Dodge 3500 with Cummins diesel. Just the wife and myself living in Boise, Idaho. Very excited about getting a lot of use of the new trailer in the nearby mountains this year!

Re: Introducing ourselves

We bought our 2011 Dutchmen Colorado 320BS in October of 2010...we love it! Our TV is a 2000 Dodge 2500, Cummins Diesel, with a bunch of upgrades that my husband will have to elaborate on. ;-hap We live in Northern California, so we are, fortunately, able to camp year round.

I also found this forum from a post on RV.net. Happy to be here!
