Hello from So. Cal

New member here with my first 5th wheel but 3rd trailer. I went from a 23' Dutchmen to a 30' bumper tow Forest River Sandstorm Toy Hauler to my brand new 3305 5th wheel toy hauler. Unfortunately, I am 2 hours from the dealer so 4 hours round trip means I will be fixing anything I can on my own.

Took delivery before Labor Day and already had some issues which unfortunately is a given in my experience. Here is the list:

Glass door in front of InCommand center screws pulled out of the side so I drilled and used wall anchors.

Large drawer under oven popped out of and bent ball bearing runners so went to Home Depot and purchased bigger slides to try.

Tried auto-level on a side to side slope and driver side wheels actually came off the ground out of chocks and trailer actually pivoted about 4 inches which was really scary--I now know now to use auto level unless I am within 2 degrees of level.

Fridge did not get nearly as cold as my past two units even though freezer worked great. I am thinking the bigger volume just needs more start up time to cool down before loading up. Also could be thermistor but noticed a lot of ice on the fins so that might have contributed. I moved the thermistor to different fins and lower which might have helped. I will follow this more closely next trip before I decide if that is a warranty repair.

Also learned that electrical connector has to be unplugged from truck before slide outs will function which took a long time to figure out.

Lastly, the rear end scrapes on driveways so I will be modifying my license plate bracket so it won't scrape and will also try and lower my front height by raising king pin if possible.

On the positives the trailer is gorgeous and AC works really well with 2 units and 50 amp service.

Overall very happy with this big trailer. It is a beast for me but love having my 4 seat RZR in the garage and ability to leave it there when camping. Old trailer needed to have the RZR out to camp as it took up too much room!

Hello DSOL. Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you have issues but looks like you have them covered and on the run.
