Hello Camping Enthusiasts!

My wife and I are enjoying our first season of camping in our Kodiak TT. Traded up from a tent in May of this year and enjoying every minute of it...especially being able to start earlier and finish later in the season! Looking forward to hearing other's experiences and about all of those wonderful mods!

Greetings Bret. Welcome to the forum. We'll have to talk sometime and share mods and pictures of our trailers. I also have a 242RESL but a year 2012 and have added a few things (ie. shelving into that useless cupboard under the sink).

Bin' there, done that. Started with a '68 VW Beatle, cramed to the roof, 2 kids, wife, dog.

Great times, but now we' empty nesters and it's our turn. Don't miss the tent, don't miss the kids, (actually not true) every time we go past the Skagit River, we get a chuckle, our son always said look mom there's the SKAAAAAAGIIIIIITTTT River again. Some how it just ain't the same trying to reproduce the moment 35 years later. But fond memories none the less.

Enjoy your upgrade and may they continue aLl through life.

Welcome Bret! Always nice to have another Badger State member! We're only an hour north of Milwaukee!

Dave.

Towing with my Ecoboost has been a great experience so far. Can hardly tell its back there sometimes. Of course it helps that I have an Equalizer Hitch. Even with trucks on either side of me, no sway. ...well maybe a little intimidation though! LOL

Thanks! Yeah...I've been eyeballing that space under the sink. I am saving that one for next year. Right now just getting used to everything and making equipment adjustments..proper sewer fittings, etc. The only mods so far are: adding tv bracket in bedroom, air vent covers, screen door handlebar, and a much needed pizza stone in the stove. Will try mounting bed lift assist bars for the bed storage next time out.....

Yep! Door County is really nice! We hit Peninsula at least once a year for an extended stay. Gotta go to Washington Island too!
