Hello and New Here

Just saying hello

We just bought our first TT about a month ago and head out for our first test trip this week! I came across this forum while doing some research and was so thankful to have found it and that it exists for us newbies!

My husband and I have an almost 2 yr old little girl and we’re pumped to start creating memories with her in this fun way.

Thank you all and blessings to you!

Congratulations on your new purchase. We have a timeshare out on Bairds that we adore and ALWAYS camp at Grandfather Campground.

Welcome to this Forum!

Short

You’ll love and hate having a trailer. Only advice is to make your shake down trip somewhere close. Get all of the bugs out.

Don't forget to bring your tools including a cordless drill, bits, and some fasteners along on your shakedown run. My experience in two TTs is they are sort of kits waiting for final assembly. The Dutchman Aerolite (my current TT) was better than the Surveyor, but both had some assembly required. This is not all bad, though, as you get to know the trailer and your final tweaks will give you the satisfaction that you improved your rig. Later I found other improvements I could make like refashioning the access panel to the water heater/winterizing kit by installing studs and wingnuts instead of the wood screws from the factory. Good luck!
