First Timer - Aspen Trail 28ft TT

Glad I found this. I have been a camper my entire life, and finally with 3 children, we had enough of the tents after 26 years of camping. actually 35 years.

Purchased our first camper this year, the 2013 Aspen Trail Travel Trailer. Starting to get used to it, and loving the fact when it is 90+ with humidity instead of suffering and swimming at 2:00 am to cool down, poof, on comes the AC!

We live in Minnesota, so we are a little spoiled in the camping choices.

We refuse to put a TV in it, because board games and cards are what we grew up with and we want out children to enjoy camping not T.V. We also have no video games and only a phone for emergency use. ( I am such a mean dad! ) Glad to be here, starting to learn some things about the camper, some likes, some dislikes.

Thanks for making this board.

The kids have called the trailer "The Flying Dutchman" because of Sponge Bob. We are getting a large sticker for the back for them.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you are enjoying your new rig. We have a Tv and ususally electronic gadgits but my 2 boys love to play card and board games. They love to play old maid with their Dad. I stay out of that it gets to wild for me. LOL. My boys are 17 and 11. They become to competitives when playing I just usually watch and laugh. Here is wishing you more happy camping memories and safe travels,

Hey, Paul...

Your a better man than I am, it only took us 15 years to bail out of the tents. It's great not waking up chilled to the bone and having a lake on the floor of the tent.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only mean dad, carried over the camping is camping thing with the grand kids too. They had to leave the video games at home.

Welcome to the club!
