First time TT owners - Winter Camping

Hello everyone! First time TT owners in Lebanon, Ohio. We're finally getting used to all the lingo, equipment and challenges with our much bigger rig but also realizing we still have a lot more to learn. I'm looking forward to learning from this site for many years to come.

My question pertains to using our 2015 300BHSL to camp out in the winter. Yes I know the supply line can freeze without taking the proper precautions (i.e. insulating, heat tape, etc) but will the TT itself keep our water lines and storage tanks from freezing? The underside is completely sealed but I don't know if it's heated or not. How do I find out if it is or not? If not, can I do anything about it now? Worst case scenario, we'll just dry camp and use the campground facilities but it sure would be nice to not have to walk my wife and kids to the bathroom in freezing temperatures!

If the temp is around freezing the heated underbelly should be fine, you use a lot of propane keeping the furnace going though. I wouldn't open the slides though, I'm not to sure if the slide mechanism gets wet and freezes if you'll be able to close it.

Thanks for the reply Adair1965. Do you know if the underbelly is heated? I saw that as a feature in the brochure but not sure if it's a standard feature or an optional one. I don't remember paying extra for it. Re: the slides though...the TT is not really usable without opening the slides. Has anyone ever used slides in the Winter? Do they still close if it gets too cold or do they freeze when exposed to moisture?

The heated underbelly is standard. As are the heaters in the tanks. These units I don't believe are meant for long periods of use when the temp is below 32F.
