First popup

Let's get a popup and fix it up, she said! It'll be fun, she said!

Well, we did. 85 Dutchman 801 Duck. And yes, she loved it at first sight and we overpaid. We've cleaned it up, repainted the interior, replaced all the interior plastic trim, new curtains, etc.

I'm in the process of replacing all the exterior fittings (power port, water fill, drain, etc); removed, repaired, re-caulked all the exterior corner trim pieces; replaced yellowed trim, greased everything, etc. Project continues...

Sorry, it's a 98, not an 85!

Don’t use common silicone to caulk. You will regret it in a few months!

What do you recommend? I've been using butyl tape under the trim and some of the fittings, then sealing the edges with a latex caulk (Big Stretch). Using an alkyd enamel paint for the exterior.

Butyl tape is the right choice.

It’s on sale too…

You can also go to the dicor website and look around there for roof sealants. Also, for seams, consider eternabond tape. GREAT STUFF
