93 Dutchmen fifth-wheel in Kentucky

Hello, Group!

I have recently purchased a 1993 Dutchmen Classic Fifth-Wheel. As the Chief of Security for a forestry company in Kentucky, the trailer will be used as a mobile base/shelter in conditions that are often challenging during all seasons.

Having never owned an RV of any kind, I have a ton of questions and I'm sure I'll have a lot more over the next few weeks and months. I was able to find an owners guide, however it doesn't provide much information.

My most pressing question concerns the furnace which I am uncertain how to use and the owners guide doesn't mention at all.

So, thanks in advance!

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the forums!

What brand and model of furnace? Is it ducted or just a brown box in a cabinet? For how to's to operate most of your appliances that best bet is to get the make, model number and possibly the serial number and go to the manufacturer's website for a manual. Most of them are readily available but you need to know which one you have. The RV assemblers quite often change brands in mid stream of a production run, you could have one brand and model of furnace and a unit built a few months earlier or later can have a totally different one.
