2016 Aspen trail 2810bhs

We are getting very excited that we should be taking delivery on our new Aspen trail 2810bhs in a couple weeks. We ordered it back in January and the time to pick it up is finally in site.
Was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what we really need to be looking for on our walk thru at the dealer. This is our first TT so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Congratulations. There are several PDI (pre-delivery inspection) sheets posted on this site. A search should pull them up. One thing everyone will tell you is don't tender the check until EVERYTHING is done and working to your satisfaction. Unless you have one of the few really reputable dealers, they'll forget you exist once your check clears.

Congratulations and Welcome! As Icv800 iterated, find the PDI and follow it religiously. Expect to take 1.5-2hrs to thoroughly inspect the TT. Do NOT sign the paperwork until everything is taken care of to your satisfaction. Do NOT take their word that they will fix it after you take delivery.

I'm sure there are nightmare stories out there as well as no problems at all. Let's just hope ours goes well with no issues!!

If you go thru the checklist that some of those more experienced RV purchaser's have put together, you'll do fine. Test everything and ask all your questions as any manuals they give you are just about worthless as they are so generic they apply to almost every RV.

Remember to leave your emotions at home on PDI day. If you find anything at all that is not to your satifaction, do not take delivery until all is remedied. Until you hand over the check, the camper belongs to the dealer, he just wants to get the unit delivered and off the lot.

Don't be cajoled into take delivery with the old "take it and enjoy it while we order the parts." line. If you do, you'll be chasing after the dealer and Dutchmen to get the defects dealt with, right in the middle of the camping season.

Make sure EVERYTHING works and works properly. Here is a link to a list that I used on my last purchase. You can download a copy of the list and modify it for your specific unit. A good PDI will take at least 2 hours on a medium sized unit.
