Isn't the check valve a lot of folks have found to be installed backwards?
I have one under the garage sink and I think it might be backwards as I don't think the flush water goes through it. ...

That's your vent valve under the sink. Those are used instead of penetrating roof lines for vent pipes. Probably have one under the kitchen sink as well.

The vent will leak if the water level...
