The UPS was about $50, but what surprised me was it did not like being fed directly from gen power.. maybe it was too 'spikey', and needed the regulator in front of it.. that was about $50 too, but...

Finally figured out how to continue watching DirecTV or a DVD uninterrupted, despite needing to power up the generator, or wanting to power down the generator and 'fail back' to inverter power...
