I can't disagree ...... virtually all the issues...

I can't disagree ...... virtually all the issues we have had can be traced back to sloppy workmanship at the factory.

Sometimes it is better to go with the flow...

Sometimes it is better to go with the flow (pardon the pun) - could you just make a vent out of the light fixture hole? (I am sort of kidding here, but you never know...)
