the cover gives it the fine finished look that accents the Voltage which IMHO is a beautiful camper. It also keeps sun and rain off the rollers when not in use. I agree steep but you might regret...

You may need to get the retractable covers that go over the slides. They are designed to keep debris out and allow water to run off the top of the slides. They are very common on most all campers...
