Just checked my ac breakers... 20 amps. Can't advise on the wire unless I remove cover of load center. :-? My last unit had the wrong breaker in it too. #12 wire for 20 amp and #14 for 15 amp....

The ac breaker should be 20 amp. Sounds like somene screwed up at the factory again. But double check before taking my advise.
