When my HTLS tripped it sent a code on the display. Yes control board shuts down. I could still turn unit on and off and lights come on and made clicking noise then stopped. We need a little more...

It's probably the over temp sensor. Remove outside cover and see if red LED is lit up. If so, it has shut down and wont work on electric or gas... just a thought. Don't know much about the N811 but...
