Yep thats the way to get it out. One problem would be, if the slide is in and dead how will one access screws and the set screw on the motor? I disconnected the power to my motors today for a test....

One of the problems is... they're still not sealing theses area's. I sealed mine and went as far as spraying a super hydroponic water repellent along the edges. Had to clean all types of debris out...
