They cut the cable hole too big

In my humble opinion, I would buy a split washer larger than the hole they cut into the panel and put it around the cable behind the black cable holder. That should stop the whole cable from pushing...

Pump

On my rig, there are neoprene washers in each hand tightened pipe joint. One washer was pinched and leaking just enough air into the line that it wouldn't pump water. Real pain for a 20 cent part.

Lexel

Love and use Lexel any where I would have used silicon. Shower stall, sinks, trim around the siding, etc. Dries clear not foggy. Just know that when it's cold, 50s or so, takes longer to set up.

Water heater light

I may be stupid here or misreading your problem, but why look a gift horse in the mouth. Perhaps the light means the water is now hot and ready for use. If it works, I usually don't try to fix it?

Core Gear Caulk Plug

Lowes photo attached. Lexel isn't really like caulk. It's more like silicon sealant but much better. Dries as clear as it is in the tube. Overall just better than silicon. Sorry for poor photos....

1) LexelŽ is 19 times clearer than silicone. LexelŽ makes "clear" silicone look just plain silly for calling itself "clear." ... Silicone tends to lose adhesion over time, and can't stick to wet...
