It's never enough!

Extremely jealous... spent the last 2 days in Glacier Nat'l Park, driving the Going to the Sun road over Logan Pass, and exploring other parts of the area. Really miss not having the bike. Would've been a lot more fun.

Shhh...don't tell your kids but we were hoping you'd travel more and post more pics.

But on this country swing I brought the Austrian Mistress. A 500EXC. I jump on it and explore the surrounding trails wherever I am. Keeps me on my toes. And gets me some views that my truck would get destroyed trying.

That thing needs a bigger gas tank! Got my first street bike when I was 16, just sold my last one a few years back. My only regret is that I started riding motocross after I turned 35

I was just fixing to tell Dawniewest that some bozo named WildWest had hijacked the avatar picture. Good thing I stopped here first.
Anyway, I always knew you was a guy because of the post with the picture of the "real" Dawniewest with the deer.

My last motoX race was at 28 years old. (a long time ago )
I had the fastest bike on the track. All my buddies knew it too. I had it tricked out. (White YZ250)

And I DID get the holeshot. Would have been embarrassing not to, frankly.

I think I led for about 4 laps.

As I tired in the later laps, one by one the 14 year old invincibles (I was one earlier?) passed me. IN THE AIR!

Rolled into the pits. Didn't even try to set the bike on its stand. Collapsed on the ground trying to get oxygen. The wife got on the ground and removed my helmet. Poured water on my head. It steamed.

Sweetheart nurse that she was, asked "are you ok baby?"

I looked up into her eyes and responded "I think I'm done"

And that was that. 13 year passion ended.

Man I LOVE that woman. (come to think about it)

Oh yea....the big tank.....

Yea, it's huge. Installed it a couple of years ago for the Uncle Bobs Desert Challenge. (Big Bend)

210 miles desert race. I figured it would save me the otherwise mandatory fuel stop. (or 2?)

I needed every advantage I could get. Them young whippersnappers, well, I already addressed that earlier.

Got 4th!

Worth every penny that tank cost me.

(1st-3rd were identical KTM's to mine. And they stopped for fuel)

Snake, you need to go out with me to the BBORR Big Bend Open Road Race in Ft Stockton next April. You volunteer to park your trailer on a gate / road to block entry during the race and get a free spectator pass to watch all kind of race cars go by, some @ 200+ MPH.

No, I don't need to. I HAVE to!!!
That sounds so awesome. Please LET me. I'm in!!!

Tell me what I need to do. I'm committed right this second.

Oh, and thank you for even considering me. Wow!

Keep on eye on the BBORR website. About January they start signing up volunteers. The contact person is Crystal Lopez listed on the Admin page and she'll send you the form. Make sure she knows you're pulling a trailer with the length and she'll put you on a gate where you have plenty of room. Get with me then and we'll caravan down.

Thanks again!
Another excuse to visit Big Bend. One of my favorite places on this big amazing ball.
