Adding picture to profile

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to add a picture to my profile. I see some members have a picture under their forum name when the post on a thread.

In the menu bar at the top... on the far left... click on USER CP.

When you get there, on the left side under SETTINGS & OPTIONS... click on CHANGE AVATAR... and follow the directions.
