2000 Dutchman 27RK

Hello ,
I am looking for some help , I just purchased a 2000 Dutchman 27RK Fifth wheel , and it did not come with and manuals , I contacted Dutchman and they said they do not have anything from that era , when Keystone purchased Dutchman they do not know what happened to a lot of the data they had , Does anyone out there have a manual for this trailer ? would it possible to scan it and make an electronic version and email it to me or post it here ? Thank you very much

Most RV manuals are generic. Get brand and model number of all your "appliances" and then do a google search for "manual" for each. That should give you the manuals for that. Also try another google search for your trailer. Sometimes they come up. Ebay is a good source as well.

Welcome to the forum, lots of good information here.

Everyone will tell you the same thing. The RV manuals are all generic, doesn't matter if you have a fifth wheel you paid 150 grand for, or a 10 grand towable. They are not unit specific and only tell you generalities. You'll do better on YouTube or asking specific questions here. Congratulation by the way.

Welcome to the forums, as pointed out the best bet is to make a list of the various appliances with their model numbers and serial numbers and search the manufacturers' websites for manuals. Just so you know the "customer service" rep you spoke with is full of it. Keystone did not purchase Dutchman. The Dutchman management team allowed quality to deteriorate to the point that Thor (parent company) stepped in and had the Keystone management team take over Dutchman.

If you can't find a specific manual ask, I have quite a few archived from over the years or may know where to hunt them down. The owner's manual for your unit exists, Dutchman has it on their website in the archives. They even have brochures going back to the 1980's. Here is the Owner's Manual for your year along with an addendum. Also here is the link to the brochure for your year of trailer.

That's the nicest thing anyones called in forever. You know what they say, you don't have to be crazy to work here, but it helps.

Well, I DID mean it in the most dignified way.

But to be honest, I kinda suspect most folks who actually buy a HOUSE with wheels AND the necessary vehicle to yank the thing across the entire country................well, ???

Saner folks sleep at Best Western. Far less effort to relocate.

(And when the toilet doesn't work properly, it's really not your problem)

I spend some 120+ nights in hotels a year... gotta be crazy. I tried to get the company to let me use my RV but it doesn't fit in my carry on luggage.

And I take it in the most dignified way. I've been called a lot worse than crazy.

If your gonna dish it out, ya gotta be able to take it and I done my fair share of dishing.

I agree with Rusty to a point. Most, not all RV manuals are generic.
When I bought my Teton I got a 3 ring binder with manuals to everything specific to my 5th wheel. From tv to brakes I have a parts book on everything in my Teton.
A shame they aren't around any more.

As any question here I know someone will have your answer. Oh & Welcome
