Towing with a Trailblazer

this is my 2003 trailblazer I m towing it with this my Kodak 241 RBSL tows 6300 my rv tops out 5500 lbs. with cargo 5990 max ill never get that close never mostly 53-5400 so ill should be fine

Another thing to look at is the wheelbase of the tow vehicle vs. the length of the trailer for stability. I was surprised to see that my 157" wheelbase just makes it for our 32' trailer.... I believe your wheelbase is 113".

Here is a Rule of Thumb Chart used in determining how long a trailer you should be pulling with your vehicle.

For the first 110" of wheelbase, this allows you 20' of trailer. For each additional 4" of wheelbase you get 1' more of trailer.

i have a ford f150 6 cyclinder which i only pulled from dealership to storage how do you find wheelbase. my dutchmen is 4000 pds. looking to buy newer truck with 8 cyclinders preferably another ford f150 with a triton engine i think my truck can pull like 5700 pds but has 195,000 miles on it

just talked to a Chevy dealer it has a 3.73 axle 5900 lbs. towing

That is a LONG trailer for that vehicle, and combining it with you being that close to the max weight allowed for it.....I just pray and hope that you are careful and keep the speed down.
I moved from a 2010 Screw F150 4X4 with the longest wheelbase Ford makes to a 2012 Scab 4X4 with the shorter wheelbase and noticed a huge difference when towing in crosswinds. And, my truck is rated to tow 11,300 pounds and I am only towing 70% of that allowed weight.
The closer you get to the maximum allowed, the less safety margin you are going to have.

I have been doing the math my rv is 10 feet longer than my car but my star lite and jimmy was 13 different the jimmy was 14 the rv 29 so27 and 17 is as bad now and I was over on the star lite by 500

What bothers me about this video is that I can't see a WD hitch. Near the end of the video one of the camera men goes to the front of the trailer and no where can I see the extra bars.

He’s probably got $110,000.00 in truck and trailer there another $800.00 for a Reese or Andersen anti sway would have saved him a whole lot of inconveniences. I see from your sign in that you live on Vancouver Island. I have a question for you. Is it warm enough there over the winter to Rv it? My DW and I are less than four years away from being completely retired (I’m already there – although temporarily not well). We know we are full timing it after we retire but are not 100% sure we always want to head south. Our son and family live in Vancouver so it’s only a short ferry ride to see them (19 hours driving from here). We are changing campers to a bigger (even just more slides) and better insulated unit. Will likely order a bigger furnace as well.
Any thoughts you can give us would be most welcome and we will thank you in advance.

our rv is 25.5 feet not 27 our expedition was 17 our Chevy is 15 wheelbase difference is 5" and empty weighs 4400 add 400 =4800 so were fine

know would I like to put some of those fears aside that my trailblazer cant do the job the Kodiak is 25.5 the expedition had a wheelbase of 119 and brought it home in a blizzard I have 1,252lbs left in weight left tow and I only loss 1200 . in towing and 6"in wheelbase and 1.35 in length I have a transmission cooler going on Wednesday
