Too much camper for the vehicle. He should have slowed immediately when it began to violently sway.. I hope they faired well.

Obvious that he was probably going too fast and might have gotten caught in a cross wind when he got in front of the truck. Thankfully, they were OK and maybe there was a lesson learned.

That's what I thought, that's a lotta weight hanging off the back. Just one of the many (I hate to say it) campers out there who have no clue on how to tow properly.

He was going way too fast to begin with. The speedo on the truck driver's dash cam indicated 66 MPH, and the SUV/TT passed him doing about 10 MPH more.

It's certainly looks like he was going well over 70mph, then get caught in the side draft of the semi, and over corrected. And sure didn't seem like there was a weight distribution on that rig. Stike 2.

From reading the article, the folks were OK. Lucky.

Ayup disaster on wheels the minute they hooked it up.

Most people think that an Excursion is the same as a F250, nope the rear end is '"softer", different spring rates for a more comfortable ride. Known issue if you do your research.

I this case speed and the tail wagging the dog appear to be the main issues, see it every day in my travels. Watched one for several miles the other day, he would get up to a certain speed the oscillations would start, he would slow down, then start the cycle again, it had Michigan tags on it and I saw it in VA. I wouldn't have driven it that far, without fixing something.
