Hitch lock won't come out.

Hello all.
I've got a TV that I need to sell.

Unfortunately the pin that holds the weight distribution hitch onto the receiver of the TV is stuck in place and won't move.

I don't know how it got that way since there has to be space to get it in or out.

I've sprayed with liquid wrench and pounded on it a LOT with no luck.

Anyone got ideas that I may have not yet considered?

Thank you
B

If the pin and receiver has had a lot of use and banging around those two pieces may have worn areas in them. Maybe the mating surfaces have worn differently allowing a groove in the pin to be worn and not letting it pass through the receiver pin holes.
Possibly you could have someone wiggle the hitch while you try to pound the pin out. Use a brass drift or brass hammer to drive the pin so you won't mushroom the end of the pin and give yourself another headache.

One one of the Ford truck forums a few
years ago, I remember a few guys reporting their pins were bending and wouldn't come out. Sorry don't remember how they got it out.

Good luck.
