Whoa... I remember that article. That poor guy got death threats. Guess he really loved his family. I think he paid to fix it but he makes a hell of a hitch.

I've had the B&W companion, Reese, and now the Andersen. My favorite by far is the Andersen mainly because of the weight since I remove my hitch a lot. No squeaks, rattles, or banging like with the traditional style Reese hitch. The Companion is also very quiet but a lot heavier. Also, I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but when I had my Companion, I wasn't able to use the teflon ring because there wasn't enough clearance. The jaws would not close because they were hitting the lip on the bottom of the pin. I had to use grease.
