5th wheel nose high

I have a 2014 ram 3500 with the 5th wheel prelp and a reese select hitch with the picture fame adapter towing a 2013 voltage 3200 with a trail air pinbox. Hitch is as low as it can go and the pin boxeis as high as it can go. I have 11 inches of clearance from top of bed to 5th wheel. Hitched up I am around 10 inches nose high. I know this is probably too much. Any sugestions? I already looked at other hitches like the Andersen ultimate, but that would only get me around an inch and a half lower.

Hitch wise I have determined that I am stuck for the moment. i plan on weighing each axle for weight distribution. How much of a difference is too much.

Not sure if your Voltage 3200 has them or not (I haven't checked my 3950 for them as it sits pretty level), but my last rig (Sunnybrook 31BWKS) had two sets of holes in the frame shackles for attaching the suspension. I moved mine to the bottom set of holes essentially lifting the rear of the camper up 2 inches and it solved my close enough to flat-tow situation.

Teton I have has a total of three holes. Dealer adjusted it for the 4x4 03 F-350 I was using at the time. I have now moved it down once I switched out to the Curt Hitch I'm using now with my 4x4 2012 F-350 .

Weighed my trailer axles today before leaving on a weekend trip. I am a little concerned now with my nose high issue. Front axle was 5800 lbs and. The rear was right at 7000 and I have 7000 lb axles on the trailer. I had no toys in the garage so adding any toys will also add more weight to the rear axle.

I was able to raise the pin box to the highest position by doing a little grinding on the top to clear the bottom of the cap. That got me 2 inches lower. I have not had a chance to weigh the axles again to see if it made a difference. I am also looking into 17.5 wheels and tires. They would give me some room in the weight ratings so I would not be so close to the current tire rating.

If your springs are below the axles you may be able to flip them and have the springs on top which would give you about 4 inches. They make kits for this.
