Used Dawn dish detergent and a firm brush to clean the TT roof. Use a low pressure 1200 psi power washer to pre clean and rinse the roof.
Upon inspection I noticed at the side of the roof the rubber roof wasn't installed square .....there was a wrinkle right at roof edge I notice 2 small wear marks. Less than 1/2 inch in length and about 1/8 in wide each. Not right through the fabric but getting close. not sure what exactly caused the wear however I think what was happen is.. since the fabric was not square ...with the movement of the trailer the roofing fabric was wearing against the edge of what ever material the fabric is attached to. ...
Any way I patched it using eternabond tape and sealed the edges with self leveling lap sealer. I made a mistake though...I should have rounded the corners on the patch so there are no square corners to lift.
All good now....did a close inspection of all edges and around all the vents, ac, antenna....all good.
I was lazy and never washed the roof nor inspected it..but will do on a regular basis..once a year for sure but most likely will do it twice.
Something to think about.....
